Introduction to libvcvideo

libvcvideo is a lowest common denominator video library. It is targeted as a cross platform tool, but currently supports only select Linux V4L devices.

Planned development will expand the V4L device selection, then add full V4L2 support, and finally move on to other platforms.

Currently supported devices are V4L WebCams that run in RGB24 mode, which is most of the webcams supported by the spca5xx and gspca drivers.
